January TBR

 Welcome back, dear readers

I hope this holiday season had treated you well.

We enter another year. One can only hope that it will be a little better than last year. At the very least, we are still here, still reading. Or not reading. Sometimes it's nice to take a little break, reader.

As it stands I'm going to pair down this month's TBR to take some pressure off myself. I'm a touch burnt out by the holidays in November and December. And by the things that keep breaking in my house. Please send your thoughts, prayers, and unholy chants for my car, dishwasher, and sump pump.

It's been a time, reader. A time.

But enough about my appliances stranding me in various situations! Let me share the books I plan to read in January.

January's TBR
  1. City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare
  2. Whatever else catches my fancy

Yes, alas, alackaday, I have started reading Cassandra Clare. I was curious and I read City of Bones. And I didn't hate it, reader. So I shall continue my journey until I no longer find it fun. I'm borrowing my partner's old copies and they have graciously let me highlight all the parts that make me laugh, shake my head, or roll my eyes.

I hope your year is filled with moments, dear reader, and I hope that a majority of those moments are good.

Until next time, dear reader  🎃
